What Full-Service
Interior Design Includes
By Parishi Yagnik, Founder, Parishi Design Studio · 11 October 2026
At Parishi Design Studio, full-service means the studio handles the interior design from concept through final installation. The scope for each project is set out in its proposal.
What the stages look like
- Concept. The studio develops a design direction and floor plans for the client's review.
- Design development. Layouts, lighting and furniture plans, and detail drawings. Examples from the studio's projects: a main-floor plan showing furniture and lighting layout, and a shower elevation and ensuite plan, in the New-Build Residence.
- Installation. The studio takes the design through to final installation.
- Between design and installation. The studio coordinates the work from design through installation, with responsibilities defined in the agreed project scope.
What concept through completion looks like
- Concept (Renovated Residence). A facade sequence from the house as it was, to a concept illustration, to the completed exterior. The concept is a design illustration, not a photograph, and the page labels it that way.
- Planning (New-Build Residence). A main-floor plan with the furniture layout and the lighting and electrical layout on one sheet, with a legend.
- Detail (New-Build Residence). A dimensioned kitchen plan (power, pot-filler, LED strip, island lighting, millwork) and a shower elevation and ensuite plan with dimensions.
- Completion (both projects). Photographs of the finished rooms. The new-build interiors are shown before furnishing; the renovation's interiors show furniture, art and the open main floor.
Why this matters when comparing proposals: drawings like these are what a contractor prices and builds from.
What stays with others
The studio coordinates the work from design through installation, with responsibilities defined in the agreed project scope. Construction itself is carried out by builders and trades, and structure, systems and code are governed by engineers and building officials.
What the proposal should state
A scope description, what is and is not included, how fees are determined, how travel and site visits are handled, and how the schedule is set once scope is confirmed. At Parishi Design Studio, fees depend on scope, size and finish level, and are confirmed in the proposal after the initial consultation; the project schedule is established after the scope and requirements are confirmed.
Questions to ask any studio
Who prepares the drawings? Who coordinates with the contractor? What is included in the fee? How are changes handled? How are the studio's past projects credited?
